Born in Lake Jackson, Texas, Christian Wiggs is both a jazz vocalist and trumpet player, taking inspiration from greats such as Kurt Elling, Mel Torme, Nat King Cole, and Chet Baker. From an early age, Christian was heavily involved in musical theatre, where he first became familiar with the Great American Songbook. At the age of 17, Wiggs began performing frequently in and around Houston before moving to Austin, Texas.
While pursuing a music degree at Texas State University, Wiggs continued to refine his interpretation and style and made his way into the Austin jazz scene. Christian has opened for acts such as Tony DeSare and the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and has shared the stage with artists such as Robert Ellis, David Young, Utah Hamrick, Steve Hunt, and Blue Water Highway Band.
